WEAPON SHIELD CONTINUES ON

When Weapon Shield was initially introduced to the market back in 2005, the product was so innovative and well received that it sort of took the market by storm. What consumers were finding out is that the product, and its inventor Dr. George Fennell (Lubrication Engineer) were producing a superior product, and that the testing supported those claims. The Advanced Boundary Film (ABF) technology that was invented and perfected by George was the real deal. A new product that actually does what they say it does? The American consumer market wasn’t ready for something like that. 

People had questions, and George was there to answer them. Competitors had question, and George was there to answer them. While every consumer and every competitor did not convert to Weapon Shield, and still others questioned methods and technicalities, the bottom line was Weapon Shield was making a difference in the industry, and the public loved it. Weapon Shield built a very loyal following throughout vast segments of the shooting community.

Fast forward to 2015 and George began having health problems. These problems continued to worsen and within a few years George was no longer physically able to be part of the day-to-day operations and turned those responsibilities over to their CEO. The CEO had a different vision. Pile on a couple failed ventures, a questionable investment or two and then Covid hit. By 2021, and Steel Shield Technologies (the former producer of Weapon Shield products), closed its doors in Bethel Park, PA. Here is where Rattac comes in.

In February 2023 in a deal that also included signing George Fennell to an exclusive technical support role, Weapon Shield products were acquired by Tom Spithaler and Rattac Technologies, LLC was formed.

Rattac will be the sole manufacturer of and exclusive distributor of  Weapon Shield and Weapon Shield products – CLP, Solvent and Grease, each product containing the ABF Technology.
